Hodmedod is a small but growing independent business, founded in 2012 to source and supply beans and other products from British farms.
They're committed to providing quality food from British farms that's more sustainably produced. All Hodmedod's pulses and grains are British-grown – and always will be!
Offering a wide range of British beans and peas, as well as some of the first British-grown quinoa. We are partnering with this great local business for our March sauceof the month.
THE GREAT BRITISH BEANS PROJECT
Hodmedod was founded following the successful Great British Beans trial project to stimulate and assess demand for indigenous pulses. They work with British farms to source a range of top quality ingredients.
Their first product was the Fava Bean, grown in Britain since the Iron Age but little eaten in recent centuries.
Since launching our packs of dried Fava Bean we've been working to search out and develop production of other less well-known foods, like "Black Badger" Carlin Peas and Quinoa from the plains of Essex.

Notes from Vic
The backbone of our brand is great ingredients and thats why we are delighted to partner with hodmedod this month. I love their story, ethos and the guys behind this venture but most of all I love the flavour of the ingredients they farm. Many of their products go great with our sauces.
